The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) handles consumer complaints about medications, dietary supplements, and medical products.

If you or someone in your family had an adverse reaction to a medical product:

Pet Medication Problems

Some dogs or cats may have adverse reactions to medication or medical devices. Know your options: 

  • If your pet is in immediate danger, call your veterinarian.
  • You can call and leave a message with the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine at 1-888-FDA-VETS or 1-888-332-8387.
  • For a faster response send an email to FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine at AskCVM@fda.hhs.gov.

File a Complaint About an Online Pharmacy

If you suspect an online pharmacy is fake, report it to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
