Better Work Nicaragua was created in 2011 as a unique partnership between the UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. The programme engages with workers, employers and governments to improve working conditions and boost the competitiveness of the garment industry.

Better Work Nicaragua (BWN) has signed an agreement with the local Fire Department to combine knowledge to deliver high-quality Emergency training to its participating factories. The result of this agreement was the launching of the Emergency Preparedness Program.
