Pelvic Mesh Information

There has been a great deal of interest and comment about the use of mesh as part of the surgical treatment of vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence in New Zealand and Australia. A Senate Inquiry into the Number of women in Australia who have had transvaginal mesh implants and related matters reported its findings 28 March 2018. The report is available to download here; RANZCOG welcomed the report and the College's comment can be read here. This page provides a range of information relating to pelvic mesh in both countries, including RANZCOG statements and patient information, and RANZCOG’s submission to the Senate Inquiry.
