A collection of field recordings made by ethnomusicologist Trevor Wiggins during research in Ghana during the 1990s. Recordings focus mainly on Dagaare recreational songs and dances from Nandom in northwestern Ghana and highlight xylophone or "gyil" music, as well as various other instrumental and vocal music.
You can hear Trevor talking about his work when he was interviewed by Carolyn Landau in 2010. The interview is one of a group of interviews with leading ethnomusicologists.
