    Torrent Power to acquire 156 MW wind power plants from CESC Ltd

    Torrent Power has entered into an agreement with CESC Limited, Haldia Energy Ltd and other nominal shareholders for the acquisition of 100 per cent of the share capital of Surya Vidyut Ltd, the statement said. The enterprise value estimated for this acquisition is about Rs 790 crore, subject to closing price adjustments. The acquisition is further subject to customary conditions for transaction closure.

    Mytrah Energy mulls selling assets in parts after multiple failed attempts to sell entire portfolio together

    Mytrah has divided the 1.75 GW assets into for baskets where 422 MW solar projects will be sold as a single unit while wind assets will be split into three portions — 775 MW in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telengana and Tamilnadu; 304 MW in AP, Rajasthan; and 252 MW in Tamil Nadu. The assets have an average remaining tenor of 17.7 years, with an average tariff of Rs4.80 per unit.
