As of September 17, 779 companies have been included in the list of economic entities engaged in scrap metal stockpiling or operations with that.

The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine fills a list of economic entities engaged in procurement and operations with scrap metal, in accordance with the amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Scrap Metal", which entered into force on July 14, 2020.

Legislative changes are aimed at bringing the activities of scrap stockists out of the shadows. In particular, it is envisaged that the central executive body, which ensures the shaping and pursuing of state industrial policy, should include information on economic entities in the list.

The Industry Department of the Ministry of Strategic Industries emphasizes that the fact that the business entity is on this list is the only and sufficient evidence of the legitimacy of operations with scrap metal.

The Ministry of Strategic Industries shall update the information in the list in accordance with the submitted in electronic form applications with use of digital certificate key.
