I love Belmont as an institution, especially since I applied for the fact that my two interests, music and pre-health studies, are coexisting in one place! The faculty and staff, especially because of small class sizes, are always eager to help and be extremely empathetic and accommodating to the students. As a student with an attentive disability, I’m thankful that Belmont also provides very great disability accommodations, such that I have support to learn my material in the pace that I need! I haven’t had a bad teacher in the entirety of my two years here, and I’m eternally thankful. I also really love the main buildings like McWhorter and the JAAC, as their designs and newness are really comforting to be inside! If I had one complaint, it’s that I don’t appreciate how the mental health services rotate their therapists, even though I’m sure the University has more resources to have concretely assigned ones.
I attended Belmont University from 2010-2014 graduating as a Songwriting major and Sociology minor. I had such an incredible experience! I am looking forward to returning to Belmont in the spring as an architect major. Since graduating Belmont I have start two successful companies in the music industry, Roscolusa Music Festival and What It Is Collective. After the pandemic and an immediate halt to the entertainment industry, I have decided to go back to school and pursue my love for architecture.
Such welcoming people and wonderful professors. Overall, staff and administration have created an environment where students are actually excited to learn, which is something you don't see often in other universities. Also provides amazing opportunities for internships and job placement in field of study is super high!
