SECTION: 160th SOAR
The MH-47 Chinook serves as the workhorse of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. A modified version of the CH-47, this chinook is equipped specifically for Special Operations missions. The 160th SOAR uses them in a wide variety of missions, including overt and covert inflitration, exfiltration, air assault, resupply and sling-load operations.
