Saktiandi Supaat was one of many MPs to voice concerns about the impact of new certification requirements for power-assisted bicycle users to ride on roads - specifically, in relation to lower-income PAB users or delivery riders. He asked for details of the cost of taking a theory test and whether certification will be issued in physical form or digitally. Mr Saktiandi also asked about plans for larger-scale trials and deployment of autonomous vehicles. He said companies should be made to meet common safety benchmarks before AVs are allowed on open roads.
