As Singapore pushes ahead to install electric vehicle charging technology islandwide, it should encourage private investment and the use of the latest innovations in a fast-evolving sector. Making the point in Parliament on Tuesday (May 11), MP Gan Thiam Poh asked how the Transport Ministry plans to encourage more local and foreign investment. With wider adoption of EVs, he also expressed concerns about increased demand on the power grid and the possible impact of a blackout on the vehicles being able to run.
