    Today on weird TL syncs

    A screenshot of my twitter feed, showing two retweets. The one at the bottom is the scene from the film Austin Powers where he gets a truck stuck in a hallway, posted 8 hrs ago. The one above is the same scene but with the truck replaced with the stuck cargo ship in the suez canal, posted 15 hrs ago.

    In Hungarian, we don’t use he/she there is only one gender pronoun “Ö”. But it’s fascinating when this is fed through Google Translate, the algorithms highlight the biases that are there. Then imagine enacting any kind of change from those biases, encoded into computer code.
