This decades-old greenhouse farm three hours from the Japanese capital of Tokyo is using artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the way it is operating. Normally it would take 2 to 3 hours to sort about 50kg of cucumbers into nine different grades. AI has drastically cut down this time, increasing the farm’s yield by 140 per cent.
