  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 31, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 11,226 (491 children out of this number, 335 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 327, 862.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 231,566 people have been vaccinated, of whom 231,564 have received 1 dose, and 2 persons have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 30, 2021, 18,668 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 18,668 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 person.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,558 persons, 407 patients died, 6,405 persons recovered. There have been conducted 139,224 testings (61,839 using the PCR method, 21,984 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 55,401).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,674,168 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,313,481 people recovered;
    • 32,825 people died;
    • 8,120,102 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
