Kansas (5-10, 5-9 big 12) returns to action for its second match of the 2021 spring slate against Texas State (26-3, 15-1 Sun Belt) Friday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m.
The Big 12 conference announced the recipients of the 2021 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award โ the conferenceโs highest academic honor โ on Wednesday. In total, 121 student-athletes were recognized. Kansas led the Big 12 with 18 honorees.

Kansas Athleticsโ student-athletes thrived in the classroom during the 2020 fall semester, boasting a fall-semester record 3.31 department grade-point average. Additionally, 15 of the teams recorded a GPA of 3.00 or higher, nearly matching the Jayhawksโ 3.00 GPA achieved by every team during the 2020 spring semester.ย
Kansas head volleyball coach Ray Bechard has partnered with Big 12 volleyball coaches to launch Reach & Teach: Big 12 Volleyball Diversity Mentoring Program, a conference-wide initiative designed to empower and support ethnic minority and underrepresented coaches in the sport.
Kennedy Farris and Caroline Crawford earned weekly accolades as announced by the conference Tuesday, with Farris earning her first Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Crawford earned her second Big 12 Rookie of the Week award.
