Our response to COVID-19

We’re committed to ensuring the health and well-being of everyone in our community, including soon-to-be-Jayhawks and their families. That’s why we’ve decided to transition all Orientation sessions to an online-only format.

It may seem like a major change, but rest assured: Whether on the Hill or in the comfort of your living room, you’ll still learn everything you to need to know to enjoy a great first year at KU.

Our office is operating remotely and you can reach us at firstyear@ku.edu or 785-864-4270 during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Office of First-Year Experience works with you as you transition to the University of Kansas. Our programs are designed to challenge and support you across your first year and connect you to the outstanding opportunities that will help you excel at KU and beyond.

Congratulations, Jayhawk! You have so much to look forward to.
