TAMPA BAY HEART WALK NOV. 14 (VIRTUAL WALK FUNDRAISER)
Stacie Schaible and the WFLA News Channel 8 team are once again gearing up to fight heart disease and stroke with the American Heart Association. On Nov. 14, Heart Walk is coming to YOU for the first-ever Tampa Bay Heart Walk Digital Experience – a meaningful way to raise lifesaving funds, encourage physical activity, and continue to honor and celebrate heart and stroke survivors. And now Tech Data Cisco is matching News Channel 8 donations up to $25,000.
“My father was a heart attack and bypass survivor and my sister, who suffered a massive heart attack at age 40, is a survivor too!,” says News Channel 8 Anchor Stacie Schaible. “For this reason, I’m a huge supporter of the Tampa Bay Heart Walk! I also walk for future heart health of my children and a focus on preventing heart disease for the next generation. For more than a decade, I have been fundraising and emceeing the Tampa Bay Heart Walk and every year it gets bigger and better! I hope you will consider joining my virtual team and making a donating. This is a fight, with enough support and money, we can win! My family is why!”
Though we won’t be gathered this year at Raymond James Stadium as in years past, this will be the biggest Heart Walk we’ve ever seen and we are committed to helping hearts right here in our community and funding lifesaving research that is more important than ever as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. By moving the action online, more supporters than ever before will have the opportunity to “lace up” and take part in a digital experience which will touch ‘more’ hearts, move more feet, and raise more mission-critical funds. The 2020 Tampa Bay Heart Walk Digital Experience has a $4 million dollar fundraising goal and our WFLA team is ready to join together with you and make that goal happen.
