Enhancing Student Education
Educating students is a core principle of KU Medical Center's mission, with a particular emphasis on teaching students from Kansas with the goal of benefitting Kansas. The schools of medicine, nursing and health professions educate a substantial majority of Kansans. KU's School of Medicine, with campuses in Kansas City, Salina and Wichita, fills more than 85 percent of each new class of medical students with Kansas residents.
Each year, we graduate hundreds of students skilled in the health professions, but our mission to educate students extends beyond our walls. KU Medical Center partners with organizations and communities across Kansas to encourage an appreciation of sciences and health careers among students of all ages.
