Despite another 20 point-plus game performance from Sophomore Holly Kersgieter, Kansas drops SEC/Big 12 Challenge against Ole Miss, 70-53, inside the Pavilion on Thursday night.

Kansas has placed 13 student-athletes on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team, the conference office announced Thursday. Twelve Jayhawks were named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, including four players – Kathryn Castro, Avery Hall, Ceri Holland and Kailey Lane – who earned a first-team nod for the third time.

The No. 7/5 Kansas Jayhawks open its home portion of the 2020-21 season when they host the Washburn Ichabods on Thursday, December 3 at 7 p.m., inside Allen Fieldhouse. The game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Dave Armstrong and Chris Piper calling the action.

Kansas will travel to Oxford, Mississippi, to face Ole Miss as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Thursday, Dec. 3, inside The Pavilion. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network and air on the IMG Jayhawk Radio Network with Jimmy Chavez on the call.

Kansas women’s basketball has started both of its 2020-21 season games strong with intense defense and quick scoring. Many players have begun to find their niche on the court, but sophomore Holly Kersgieter has known her three-point shooting niche for quite some time.

Kansas men's and women's cross country had 19 student-athletes selected to the Academic All-Big 12 Teams announced by the league office Wednesday. The Jayhawk men had the most amongst the conference with 12 honorees.
