    As soon as Pfizer broke the news, investors jumped. Science can advance solutions, but even if successful it'll take many months to achieve the widespread vaccination rates needed. Millions of working people are already unable to cover the bills - we can't wait months 1/5

    Yes. - Important to get back to locking in the package built by aviation workers and our unions. This is the kind of template that should be duplicated for immediate relief across sectors now & the mindset we need for building back better

    So if all goes well and 50mn doses of the Pfizer are available globally in Q1 (presumably to mostly front line health workers?) we are still looking at late 2021 as the earliest it could become widely available and effective correct?

    Some believe pulling everyone down to the lowest standard is fairness. We know all that does is weaken workers’ ability to fight & strengthen corporate interests’ demands for labor concessions. We are fighting for everyone. Period. That means fighting for the strength to do so.

    And across the economy, as soon as these corporations come out of crisis mode, they'll start looking to balance the red on their ledgers. The country’s job & wage crisis will deepen with labor cost cuts. And it'll hit consumers too, with fewer options 4/5

    If Congress doesn’t , get workers back to our jobs & force airline management to put , people in other industries will hurt as our bills go unpaid. We support 1 in 14 jobs. Waiting to rehire, train, certify airline workers hurts today & more tomorrow 3/5

    The stock market is a bet on the future. These investors think the airlines will bounce back. But if we don't invest to keep working people afloat TODAY, our economic recovery will take longer and be more painful for Americans unless Congress acts to put now 2/5

    What happens next matters. In the past, efforts to build "unity" and "consensus" in Washington have too often meant turning over the keys to giant corporations and their lobbyists. We can't let that happen again.
