Education experiences for groups:

Tour of the Diplomacy Is Our Mission and Berlin Wall exhibits:

Through stories and artifacts, these exhibits highlight the work of U.S. diplomats and where and how they do their jobs. Visitors are challenged to explore what diplomacy is and how it impacts everyone, every day. A print study guide is available to help inform productive conversations among younger audiences. A print highlights tour is also available for general audiences.
45-60 minute program duration.

A Facilitated Diplomacy Simulation:

In a collaborative learning environment, visitors are invited to step into the role of diplomats representing various stakeholders, each with their own perspectives and priorities. Participants negotiate with multiple stakeholders, use the tools of diplomacy to resolve a real-world problem, and seek a resolution that is acceptable to all sides. Simulation topics and materials are found here: http://diplomacy.state.gov/discover-diplomacy/about/
2 hour program duration.

**The NMAD simulation program is designed so educators may implement the experience in their classrooms. Simulation materials, including facilitator training resources, are available for free and can be accessed here.

Meet the Diplomat:

Groups have an opportunity to meet with a U.S. diplomat whose work advances the interests of the United States. Discussion will focus on the overall mission of the Department of State, the elements of their job and the skills they use in engaging partners around the world. The richness of the conversation is reliant on the questions from the visitors. Come full of questions!
45 minutes program duration.
