Please complete the Departmental Email Account Request. Please note the request form has changed to reflect the new standard for departmental email accounts (see “New Standard for Departmental Email Accounts/Mailboxes” on Overview tab).
If you have questions about the form, contact KU IT Account Management at 785-864-0439 or acctappl@ku.edu. You will be notified by email when your departmental account has been created.
Access Departmental Email Accounts
There are two types of departmental email accounts at KU. Departmental accounts created after Jan. 17, 2017, do not require a password for access. Departmental accounts created prior to Jan. 17, 2017, do require a password.
Access a Departmental Email Account without a Password (created after 1/17/17):
To request access to a particular departmental email account, contact the account manager for that account.
After being added by the account manager, you can access the departmental email account directly in Outlook along with your personal inbox. On the web, you can access departmental email accounts through your personal account at outlook.office365.com.

Or, contact your IT Support Staff for help in setting up a departmental email account in Outlook. If you use mail merge in Microsoft Office, be sure to tell your IT Support Staff before they set up your shared mailboxes in Outlook.
Access a Departmental Email Account with a Password (created prior to 1/7/17):
After set up, you can access older departmental email accounts using a shared account username and password. To request access to a particular departmental email account, contact the account manager for that account.
