Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2)
The Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) works hand-in-hand with the Air Force Survivor Assistance Program and Airman & Family Readiness Centers to ensure Airmen receive professional support and care from the point of injury, through separation or retirement, for life.

Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2)
The Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) is the official U.S. Army program that assists and advocates for severely wounded, ill and injured Soldiers, Veterans, and their Families, wherever they are located, regardless of military status.

Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) and Wounded Service Member Initiative (WSM)
The CAP program provides assistive technology (AT) and reasonable accommodations to people with disabilities and wounded Service members. CAP's mission is to ensure that people with disabilities and wounded Service members have equal access to the information environment and opportunities in the DoD and throughout the Federal government.

Disability Benefits for Wounded Warriors through the Social Security Administration
Military service members can receive expedited processing of disability claims from Social Security. Benefits available through Social Security are different than those from the Department of Veterans Affairs and require a separate application.

Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor
Safe Harbor is the Navy’s sole organization for coordinating the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, and providing resources and support to their families. Through proactive leadership, the program provides individually tailored assistance designed to optimize the success of the wounded warriors’ recovery, and rehabilitation and reintegration activities.

The Military Health System (MHS) is a unique partnership of medical educators, medical researchers, and healthcare providers and their support personnel worldwide. This DoD enterprise consists of the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs; the medical departments of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Joint Chiefs of Staff; the Combatant Command surgeons; and TRICARE providers (including private sector healthcare providers, hospitals and pharmacies).

The United States Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) serves Marines who are wounded in combat, fall ill, or are injured in the line of duty. This includes active duty, reserve, and veteran Marines.
