SMU alum Rudy Peña ’14 co-founded Roodie's Foodies Giveback Project in May 2020. When the pandemic shut down restaurants around the city, including his Ay Dios ...Mio Shack a.k.a. Roodie’s Shack: Taco’s and American Grill, Rudy decided to spend his time helping others. Together with a small group of like-minded friends, he set up neighborhood library boxes around town. These Giveback Boxes are located throughout Dallas and provide free books and essential items for anyone in need. Rudy is partnering with the Hispanic Alumni of SMU Board to collect donations of new essential items to stock Giveback Boxes.
