Actor Wendell Pierce — best known for his work on The Wire and Treme — announced that a long-dormant biopic on blues legend B.B. King, The Thrill Is On, is back on in a series of tweets posted Monday night.

“We are official,” Pierce wrote. “Preparation has begun on a film where I will be honored to play the great, Bb King. Humbled.” He added, “I promised Bb King before he died, I will honor him and his creative genius. An American Icon.”

Dominic West is one of the final key players joining “The Crown.”

Sources tell Variety that West is in late-stage discussions for the role, though the deal isn’t done. The actor would play Charles in the final two seasons of the Netflix drama. He will star opposite Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. Seasons 5 and 6 “The Crown” will take the royal family into the 1990s and early 2000s.

Charles was previously played by Josh O’Connor, and news of West’s casting comes just under a month before the series returns for season 4 on Nov. 15.

James “Jamie” Redford, a documentary filmmaker, activist and the son of actor Robert Redford, died of cancer on Oct. 16. He was 58.

His wife of 32 years, Kyle Redford, announced his death on Twitter, writing: “He lived a beautiful, impactful life and was loved by many. He will be deeply missed. As his wife of 32 years, I’m most grateful for the two spectacular children we raised together. I don’t know what we would’ve done without them over the past two years.”

Actor Jeff Bridges announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma.

He started his post off with a reference to “The Big Lebowski,” writing: “As the Dude would say… New sh– has come to light.”

“I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good,” Bridges continued. “I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.”

In a second tweet to the same thread, Bridges thanked his supporters and encouraged them to vote in the upcoming presidential election, linking to the website Vote.org.

“I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes,” Bridges tweeted. “And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together.
