    Winter is coming! All park roads close to vehicle travel Nov. 2 at 8 a.m., except for the road between the North and Northeast Entrances, which remains open year-round. Oversnow travel by snowcoach and snowmobile begins Dec. 15. Park road conditions:

    Yesterday we received our of the season! This morning, a pair of Sitka black-tailed deer were spotted along the park road. Sitka black-tailed deer typically breed in November, with fawns being born in late spring.
