Alabama History Day Judges

HISTORY DAY HOME STUDENTS EDUCATORS JUDGES HISTORY DAY STAFF

Seeking History Lovers!

Students from all over The Great State Of Alabama in grades 6 through 12 will converge on the campus of

Auburn University at Montgomery

to share their research in the annual

Alabama History Day Competition!

We are looking for Alabamians interested in celebrating these year-long projects. After months of diligent research and creative energy, winning students from the local level will meet at our state-wide event. You can help them further hone their skills by evaluating entries, interviewing contestants, and selecting winners to represent our state in the national competition.

While most judges work in the humanities (e.g., educators, librarians, museum professionals and artists) all volunteers interested in witnessing the impressive documentaries, exhibits, performances, research papers, and websites created by Alabama youth are encouraged to judge!

Follow this link to sign up as a volunteer judge for this year’s competition. You will need to create an account and establish yourself as “Judge” (not “Teacher,” “Volunteer,” etc.). For questions about this process feel free to contact History Day coordinator Jerald Crook, jcrook@alabamahumanities.org, 205.558.3996.
