Two candidates are running for Osceola County sheriff in the general election.
Marco López, A Democrat, and Luis “Tony” Fernández, a no party affiliation candidate, were interviewed by the Orlando Sentinel Editorial Board. López won the Democratic primary in August, beating the incumbent Sheriff Russ Gibson.
The candidates talked about their priorities, backgrounds and qualifications for the post.
Whoever wins will become Osceola County’s first Hispanic sheriff.
