As well as optional interdisciplinary modules, many courses also allow you to choose a Minor subject alongside your main programme.
Many undergraduate degree courses give you the chance to study a Minor subject alongside your main subject, but in a different area. Subjects you can study as a Minor include everything from Criminology to Creative Writing.
Learning a new language is a great way of exploring the world and other cultures. We offer a wide range of optional language modules, from Spanish to Ancient Greek.

A brand new learning and teaching building is due to open on our main Highfield Campus in autumn 2018, with features including independent study spaces, a computer suite and a cafe.
Every undergraduate student is allocated a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) for one-on-one support and advice throughout their time at Southampton. A Senior Tutor will also be on hand to offer an additional layer of support.
