Sponsored Projects

Learn about the Project Life Cycle at SMU.

Our office facilitates pre-award proposal preparation and submission, accepts awards on behalf of the University, and negotiates award changes. Post-award accounting is handled by the Office of Grant and Contract Accounting.

Research Compliance

Understand your role in SMU's culture of research compliance.

We provide oversight of all human, animal, and biohazardous research as well as export control and financial conflict of interest.

Contract Management

Develop extramural collaborations.

We partner with the Office of Legal Affairs to negotiate and approve contracts for research support, tech transfer and agreements between SMU, other institutions, and industry.
