First Time Fridays

The perfect introduction to the RSC. See any show in Stratford-upon-Avon on any Friday for just £10.

Tickets for performances in Stratford-upon-Avon

Ticket prices start from £16 depending on when you'd like to see a production and where you'd like to sit in the theatre. One of the easiest ways to look at ticket prices is to visit the Book Tickets section, select the production you would like to see and use the Select Your Own Seat facility to see exact seats and prices.

Here's what you can do if you are looking to save money on the price of your ticket:

Book early if possible for the lowest prices, or join as a Member or Patron to get the best price guarantee in Priority Booking
Use discounts where you can: First Time Fridays if you’ve never been before, RSC Key £5 tickets if you’re 16-25, CV37 tickets if you're local, children go half price Monday to Friday evenings and all matinees
Upper levels tend to be cheaper than the stalls and try a restricted view seat for a low price ticket – you often still have a great view of most of the stage
Look for reduced price previews or midweek evening performances (usually lower prices than weekends and matinees)

Ticket discounts

First Time Fridays

Never been to the RSC to see a show before? You can now come along on a Friday for just £10.

Our First Time Friday tickets are available every single Friday, whatever the show. You will be able to purchase a maximum of two tickets at £10 each, so you can bring a friend and enjoy your first visit together.

Tickets can be booked in advance and are only available in person or over the phone.

16 - 25 year olds

£5 tickets

This discount is available for all Stratford-upon-Avon performances, and some RSC productions in other locations, for those aged between 16 - 25. Visit our RSC Key 16-25 pages for more information.

This offer is for individuals only and cannot be used for group or family ticket bookings. Tickets must be booked and paid for by individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 inclusive (adults over the age of 25 cannot buy tickets on behalf of younger people).

Tickets can only be collected in person by the 16 - 25 year old from the Box Office; proof of entitlement will be required for all tickets.

This discount does not apply to Premium seats.
Families

Up to four under 18s half price with every full price paying adult

Half price tickets are available for up to four family members under the age of 18 attending with every full priced paying adult (up to a maximum of ten tickets).

This discount is available for Monday to Friday performances and all matinee performances and is available for most ticket prices and can be purchased online, by phone or in person at the theatre.

This discount does not apply to Premium seats.
Disabled people

£16 per ticket

If your choice of seat is limited by your disability, then discounted tickets are available at £16. Should you need the services of a companion (including wheelchair users) their ticket is also £16. For more information please visit our access pages.

All ticket discounts are subject to availability and at the discretion of the Box Office. Discounts cannot be booked in conjunction with, or combined with any other offers and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Over 60/65s

20% off

IMPORTANT: for performances in the Summer 2020 and beyond, you will need to be over 65 to claim this discount. For all shows in the current season, the over 60s discount is still valid.

We offer discounted tickets for those over the age of 60 on selected performances. A 20% discount is available on all seats for Monday and Tuesday evening performances and all midweek matinees.

This offer is intended to benefit individuals and is therefore not available for groups of more than eight.

This discount does not apply to Premium seats.
UK schools, colleges and universities

UK Schools and Colleges (aged 18 and under)
£12.50 Education Members (£16.50 non-Members)

UK Colleges and Universities (aged 19 and over)
£18 Education Members (£25 non-Members)

Monday to Thursday performances for groups of 10+ students. One free teacher’s ticket for every ten students. One adult required for every ten students. Teachers’ free tickets will be placed amongst groups of students and must be used by accompanying adults only. Only available to UK schools and universities during term time,. Join as an RSC Education Member for just £20 per year.

If you join as an RSC Education Member, tickets for UK school groups of ten or more students (aged 18 and under) can be purchased for all Monday - Thursday Stratford-upon-Avon performances for £12.50 per ticket (£16.50 for non-Members); UK colleges and universities (aged 19 and over) who are Education Members can purchase tickets for groups of ten or more for £18 per person (£25 for non-Members). Tickets are subject to availability and one free adult place is provided (and required) for every ten students. Adult free tickets will be placed among groups of students and must be used by accompanying adults only. With Education Membership costing just £20 per year, you’ll make immediate savings whilst also keeping up-to-date with the latest RSC Education news.

These discounts are only available to UK schools, colleges and universities during UK term time and are available by calling our Education Specialist Team on 01789 403434 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm during UK term time).

Discounts do not apply to Premium seats.
Groups of 10 or more

Savings of up to £23 per ticket

Discounts for groups of 10+, 50+ and 100+ are available with savings of up to £23 per ticket. Valid on Premium, A price and B price seats, Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Standby rate

£25 for best available seats

From time to time, there are tickets available on the day of the performance at a Standby Rate of £25 each.

These discounted tickets are available to students, unemployed, members of the UK armed forces, key workers, Equity members and staff from other UK arts organisations.

Standby tickets subject to availability. Proof of entitlement will be required. Tickets can be purchased in person at the theatre or over the phone.
CV37 Standby Scheme

£10 for best available seats

Available on the day and only in person or by telephone and subject to availability. Applicable to residents of Stratford-upon-Avon with a CV37 postcode. Proof of address will be required at time of booking or on collection.
Rush tickets

Discounted tickets from £10 available from midday every Friday

A great way to get last minute discounted tickets for shows in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Every Friday we put on sale discounted Rush tickets to see shows the following week. We release a limited number of tickets from £10 each Friday at midday, for selected performances in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre.

First come, first served, and you can purchase a maximum of two tickets at a time.

Rush tickets is supported by West Midlands Railway.

Open Understudy Rehearsals

£10 | Restricted view £5

A limited number of tickets are available to our open understudy rehearsals which give a glimpse into the technical and on-stage processes around this essential part of our work, ensuring we have a ‘performance ready’ full understudy company.

Performed with limited staging conditions and costumes, these fascinating rehearsals are only available for sale two weeks prior to each event (see performance schedule for details).

RSC Members, Patrons & Artists Circle have a 24-hour priority booking period ahead of the general public. £10 | Restricted view £5
