How to apply with UCAS

If you have received an offer from us through our Fast Track to Clearing process, you now need to make your formal application to us via UCAS.

The steps you need to take to make your formal application to UCAS will depend on your current application status. To help support you with this, please find below the different routes and steps you need to take.

Don’t forget for each route you will need the details of the course offer made to you, so have this to hand.

If you are unsure which route to follow please do contact our dedicated team on 01332 592468, drop us an email at fasttrack@derby.ac.uk or use the chat function below and we will be happy to support you with this.

I have not applied to UCAS this year

You will need to make an application through UCAS by 30 June 2020. Information about applying is available on the UCAS website.

You can still apply but this will be through UCAS Clearing.

To apply through Clearing you will still need to make an application to us through UCAS, but the process for adding a choice will differ slightly. Full details and guidance can be found on the UCAS Clearing page.

I have an application with UCAS but have not yet chosen my Firm or Insurance choice

You need to carefully consider all the options and offers you currently have before making any decisions. If you wish to take up our offer of a place, you will need to decline all outstanding offers that have been made to you in UCAS Track.

You will be able to apply to us via UCAS Extra. Simply log in to UCAS Track, decline all your offers and then you should have the option to add an Extra choice in Track using the details provided in your offer email.

You can still apply but this will be through UCAS Clearing. Simply log in to UCAS Track and decline all your offers. This will then make you eligible for Clearing and you should have the option to add your Clearing choice.

I am currently holding a Firm place with another university

Once you have considered all your options and if you wish to take up the offer we have made to you, please get in touch with us on 01332 592468 and we will work with you and UCAS on the steps required to change your application to Derby.

I am not holding any offers

UCAS Clearing opens 5 July. Providing you are eligible for Clearing, you will be able to log in to UCAS Track and add your Clearing choice. Full details and guidance on how to add your Clearing choice can be found on the UCAS Clearing page.
