Type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 DM), a chronic disease of both insulin resistance and inadequate insulin secretion, is increasing worldwide. Although type 2 DM can affect people at any age, it is most common in patients aged 45 years and older. Clinician knowledge of type 2 DM presentation and diagnosis is therefore essential to early diagnosis and treatment to prevent sequelae. How much do you know about the presentation and diagnosis of type 2 diabetes? Check your knowledge with this quick quiz.
