In light of public health concerns related to the coronavirus and out of an abundance of caution, the Los Angeles Times is postponing the Festival of Books, Ideas and Stories event to the weekend of Oct. 3-4, 2020.
Since 1996, The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books gathers writers, poets, filmmakers, musicians and emerging storytellers from around the world. In 2020, we are now the Festival of Books, Stories and Ideas- celebrating how stories are told through embracing technology, social media and the creative process itself.
A monthlong celebration of the extraordinary people and produce that make L.A. the most exciting food city in the world.
The 4th annual Food Bowl will be held this Fall, with dates to be announced. In light of public health concerns related to the coronavirus and out of an abundance of caution, the Los Angeles Times is postponing Food Bowl events.

Without the support and passion of our partners, the L.A. FOOD BOWL wouldn’t be the celebration of food and culture that it is today.
