Awards and recognition
The outstanding work of our journalists has been recognized with numerous awards, including 54 Pulitzer Prizes.
We’ve won 54 Pulitzer Prizes, including 32 for photography, since the award was established in 1917. In 2019, AP received a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting based on our compelling coverage of the grinding conflict in Yemen and the ensuing humanitarian crisis, including a series of deep investigative stories, photos and videos chronicling atrocities spawned by the war.
Sometimes one image tells the whole story. Our photojournalists often capture moments that are so compelling that they become iconic. Take a look at some of our award-winning photos.
