Local star chef Michael Mina is bringing his culinary talents to Lake Tahoe with the opening Bourbon Pub later this month.

Mina’s 125-seat restaurant will open in the Village at Northstar California Resort where guests can find a selection of dishes described as “elevated pub inspired food.” There will also be craft cocktails and a selection of local beers and wine available.

Some of the menu offerings prepared by executive chef Jon Blackley will include avocado hummus, a truffle Caesar salad, ‘General Tso’ chicken wings, cauliflower “steak,” and spicy Korean Wagyu tacos. The names of local beers and wine that will be served have not yet been listed.

“I’ve always had my eye on Tahoe and am so thrilled to be partnering with Vail Resorts to bring our upscale experience to The Village at Northstar,” chef Michael Mina said in a press release.

Unlike Mina’s other high-end restaurants, Bourbon Pub is meant to offer a more casual space to diners who want a hearty meal after hitting the slopes. Plaid fabric, black and white buffalo check, and camel-colored leather touches will be found in the restaurant's interior. There will also be vintage board games available for guests to play.

The new Bourbon Pub restaurant will be the third California location but first in Lake Tahoe. Currently, there is a Bourbon Pub restaurant at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara and another set inside Terminal 1 at San Francisco International Airport.

Bourbon Pub will open by Nov. 30, Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
