KPBS Producers Club banner KPBS Producers Club banner

The Producers Club is a diverse group of philanthropic individuals and families committed to sustaining KPBS' ability to reach beyond the status quo — on television, on radio, and online. Producers Club members share the distinction of being KPBS' most generous annual contributors, giving $1,200 or more each year to strengthen the impact of public broadcasting. More importantly, they are our counselors and ambassadors. They enable KPBS to expand its vision of excellence, to develop new programs, and to employ cutting-edge telecommunications technologies to find innovative ways of better serving San Diego residents.

Producers Club

Producers Club members enjoy many special benefits, including By-Invitation-Only events with on air personalities, advance notice of upcoming projects and programs of special interest and more.

Events

To our Producers Club Family,
We are here for you, and want to thank you for your support of KPBS.

In the past few weeks, KPBS has seen a monumental increase in viewership as communities all over San Diego County rely on us for continued updates on the coronavirus pandemic. This has prompted us to expand our news coverage to seven days a week from five days a week. Offering this extended, vital coverage wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of you, our most loyal members.

You are the glue that holds our station together, and you’re the reason KPBS is one of the highest-rated public media stations in the country. Through these unprecedented times, we want to assure you that KPBS will continue to share stories, and invite conversation that builds on our sense of community, and delivers the facts. We hope that you’ll continue to agree that KPBS is where story matters.

Lastly, we’d like to leave you with some words of wisdom from our dear friend and neighbor, Fred Rogers:

"We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say, 'It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.' Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes."

Thank you for supporting San Diego’s need for quality journalism. Please contact us at producersclub@kpbs.org. and let us know how we can help you during this time. Stay safe, everyone, and remember: We’re all in this together!

Important Event Information

KPBS is committed to keeping our community and general public informed around the public health concerns associated with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Our newsroom is following this story closely at the local level and NPR and PBS are providing coverage on national and international basis.

The health risk from COVID-19 to the general public is a quickly evolving situation. Just as with other infectious diseases, not all parts of our state are affected equally at the same time. Like many non-profit organizations, we have several events planned and scheduled. In order ensure the health and safety of our event attendees, guests, and staff, we are following recommended protocol from city, county and state officials, the CDC, and San Diego State University (of which KPBS is a part of) to prevent further spread of the virus.

KPBS is assessing all scheduled events including public tours, donor receptions, luncheons, and screenings. Should we determine that a cancellation or postponement of an event is necessary, we will notify all registered participants via email and post the update on the event registration page(s). If you have registered for an event and receive such a notification, please forward that communication to your guests as KPBS may or may not have everyone’s email on file.

RSVP is requested for all Producers Club events. For more information, please contact us at producersclub@kpbs.org.

*A KPBS-sponsored or co-sponsored community event, not Producers Club exclusive.

As a Producers Club member your gift supports the station and its mission. A benefit of supporting at the PC level is receiving several exclusive invitations throughout the year to attend educational, arts, and culture events, much like the ones you see here! Any ticket prices are offered at a reduced cost and are being subsidized by KPBS and our underwriting partners.
