LATEST UPDATES: Tracking COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Tracking COVID-19

The coronavirus, or COVID-19, has sickened more than a million people, forced millions to live under strict social distancing orders and paralyzed the global economy since its emergence in Wuhan, China at the end of last year.

Experts say the new virus is deadlier than the seasonal flu and U.S. federal officials have acknowledged that it could kill between 100,000 and 240,000 Americans.

As the outbreak continues to grow, KPBS will continue to update this page with the latest information.
