This latest project succeeds by further propelling the rapper’s soaring momentum even while in lockdown.

It's a sound we've come to know DaBaby handle on his own, but he invites industry peers like Quavo ("Pick Up"), Future ("Lightskin Shit"), YoungBoy Never Broke Again ("Jump") for the ride.

DaBaby’s charm gets diluted; he sounds measured and restrained, not words typically associated with DaBaby. This is music to bob your head at, not lose your shit to. Ever the savvy marketer, DaBaby does manage a few highlights that seem packaged to go viral.

DaBaby’s greatest enemy on Blame It On Baby is his staggering prolific streak; the struggle to find something new means he’s fighting against his own current.

Everything from the production to the subject matter on this new album is frustratingly similar to the first two projects.

Blame It on Baby is pretty evenly divided between strong songs and duds.

Unlike the release of his second studio album, KIRK released last year, a major fraction of 'Blame It On Baby' lacks effort and even originality.

A solid project taking a look into Dababy's life with his new found fame. Most features land. Some tracks are lazy, but still enjoyable.

it’s okay overall. baby on baby and kirk were much better albums, this one just doesn’t live up to what the other two did. only a few tracks ait’s okay overall. baby on baby and kirk were much better albums, this one just doesn’t live up to what the other two did. only a few tracks a memorable and replay-able. other than that, most of this album is saved by the list of star features racked up on this thing. it’s mostly forgettable Expand

If an American travels to Paris, Berlin or Prague, he may have problems with communicating with the city's local people due to the languageIf an American travels to Paris, Berlin or Prague, he may have problems with communicating with the city's local people due to the language borders. That doesn't happen with music. Music is a universal language that everybody understands; it is a likeable esperanto. I am able to listen and comprehend what DaBaby has to tell us in his new record but I don't understand what he is trying to say with this album.
The production on "Blame It On Baby" is basic and repetitive. Don't miss-understand me, I enjoy rap but I haven't enjoyed this album in particular since the product is boring, over-hyped and, in the end, tiring. Emotions are not received in this particular record. I can't even move my leg while listening to this album due to the lack of ¿rhythm?. If this isn't performed to a dead crowd, I will definitely question if its members are brainless or not. The album just has no essence; its empty of sympathy and charisma which is a shame because the singer's persona is very nice and interesting. I can't understand how he hasn't put a little bit more of his soul in it, it would have made the record much better. The collaborations on it also do not work for me. I am not able to difference DaBaby's and Future's voice due to the similarity between them. A musical duo has to offer the best of both performers and include their best qualities, Oh and can we please talk about the little girl's voice at the beginning of every song? If he wants to make that resource his mark, I'm stepping out. It sounds very cringy and unnecessary to me.
In conclusion, this 33-minute long album is very disappointing considering the amount of hype there was around it. The album's sound is messy, incohesive and repetitive and offers you the complete opposite of versatile. Even at its best, "Blame It On Baby" sounds like something DaBaby's done before and better.
