This is a lovely place. It’s very well located - within easy walking distance of all the major sights - and in a great neighbourhood. The staff are friendly, the rooms immaculate, and it’s good value.
The Hamilton was a lovely, little hotel. As Australian tourists the location made it so easy to get around Washington. There is a Metro stop only a block away which meant we found it easy to get to from the airport and easy to travel around. The neighborhood itself was lovely, I literally fell in love with it. Walk just a few blocks up and there was a great area full of restaurants, bars and lovely cafes. The White House is also in walking distance and we often saw the presidents motorcade driving by. Our room was modern and comfortable and had a window overlooking the park. The star bucks downstairs didn't hurt either. Only downside was the really bad musty smell in the lobby.
I am being generous with an average rating here. The lobby is sterile and not very welcoming. The staff doesn't seem very friendly either. The rooms are small and cramped The bathroom is tiny and of marginal cleanliness to say the least. The beds are overly firm, and the pillows are foam.
Amazing time in an amazing city cared for by a tremendous staff in the beautiful Hamton Hotel DC, looking forward to a future visit. Loved the Via Sophia experience. Great wines best Pizza we have had in years.
Fantastic value. Location central and walkable to key locations in central DC. Clean and SPACIOUS rooms. Fantastic staff - warm and welcoming but not overbearing. Restaurant was delicious - brick oven pizza and great wine selection. Excellent wine selection. Booked the rate with parking and the value was best in the area. Will stay here again next time in DC. Managing Director Mark and Rooms Director Firas run a wonderful program.
