We have set ourselves the mission of providing the highest quality mental health and community care in England, and have embarked on an ambitious Quality Improvement Programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our efforts to improve.

Though first established as a mental health trust covering east London, ELFT has been broadening its remit for some time. We provide services to a total population of over 1.2 million across east London, Bedfordshire and Luton. We operate from over 100 community and inpatient sites, employ almost 5,000 permanent staff and have a projected annual income of over £300m. As a Trust we celebrate diversity and have achieved excellence in a challenging context, working with some of the most diverse populations in the country.
