‘The Office,’ ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Still Dominate Nielsen’s Latest Netflix Acquired Series Ratings (Exclusive)
Netflix and Amazon Prime Video prefer to keep a tight lid on ratings data, doling out information in ways they see fit. Even Nielsen, which has been measuring Netflix and Amazon viewership for some time, has limited the amount of streaming data it shares with the public.

But Variety has obtained a recent Nielsen streaming report, for the week of March 2 to 8, which sheds more insight into viewer streaming habits — including stats for original programs, acquired fare and movies/specials at Netflix and original programs and movie/specials at Amazon.

Insiders have said that Nielsen numbers are pretty close to internal data — and Nielsen has been working on its streaming ratings methodology for some time for its Svod Content Ratings. Critics argue its numbers are still underrepresented because it only covers the U.S. and doesn’t include viewing on mobile devices or PCs.

Daytime Emmys Postponed Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will postpone the 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which had been scheduled for June.

“Given our concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided that we will not be staging the 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Pasadena this coming June,” NATAS chairman Terry O’Reilly said in a statement. “As there are so many unknowns right now with the flow of information changing on a daily, almost hourly, basis, it would simply be irresponsible to move forward with our annual celebration of excellence in daytime television at this time.”

This decision comes just days after the org decided to postpone both its annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards (at the Nab Convention in Las Vegas) and its Sports Emmy Awards (at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City) due to coronavirus concerns.

Given recent reports that the pandemic is more widespread and

Last week, the film was pulled from its theatrical release by Paramount due to the coronavirus outbreak. The new release date for the film is to be decided.

“‘The Walking Dead: World Beyond’ is moving its premiere date from Sunday April 12th to later this year,” read a tweet from the franchise’s Twitter account on Friday, accompanied by a new date-less poster for the show.

The series is one of many being affected by the coronavirus pandemic that has brought film and TV production to a standstill in recent weeks. Though the season had completed filming prior to the production shutdowns, a few of the season’s episodes have post-production work that remain unfinished, according to an individual familiar with the situation.

Quontent Roundup: The Best Comedians and Filmmakers Getting Weird in Quarantine

Quontent Roundup: The Best Comedians and Filmmakers Getting Weird in Quarantine
In the words of “Sweeney Todd” pie baker Mrs. Lovett, “Times is hard.” As everyone adjusts to the new reality of working remotely, comedians and filmmakers who rely on freelance work are being hit hard. Film and TV productions are shutting down faster than we can update our exhaustive running list. Comedians are losing out on precious weekly gigs. Theater practitioners are worried the nonprofit theater world may not bounce back. An already tenuous lifestyle just became a whole lot harder.

And yet, creatives gotta create. Lock a comedian or filmmaker in their apartment for seven days straight and they are bound to come up with some pretty entertaining — if more than a little bizarre — content. With everyone else stuck at home craving human connection and distractions, they have a more willing audience than ever before. In an effort to find a silver lining, IndieWire is keeping tabs on the
