Stephen W Day

Stephen W Day, PhD is professor of international affairs at the Holt School of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, where he specialises in Middle East culture and politics with focus on Yemen and the Arab peninsula. Over the past two decades, Dr Day taught at Indiana University, St Lawrence University of New York, and Stetson University of Florida. He was designated a specialist in diplomacy and peace making by the Fulbright scholarship program between 2012 and 2014. He is author of the 2012 Cambridge University Press book, Regionalism and Rebellion in Yemen: A Troubled National Union, and co-edited the 2020 Palgrave MacMillan book, Global, Regional, and Local Dynamics in the Yemen Crisis. In addition, he has contributed chapters to many books on Yemen, as well as articles in various publications, including Middle East Journal, Middle East Policy, Carnegie Foundation Papers,Middle East Institute Papers, Foreign Policy, Jadaliyya, Muftah, and newspapers The Washington Post, The New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune.
