Instead of "Americanising" the Middle East, Donald Trump seems set on "Israelising" the US, by stirring up fears of Muslims and trying to wall out the other.
This should cue Arabs, and Middle Easterners in general, to stop depending on the United States for solutions. Or even for inspiration.
