Guests with reduced mobility can get to the arena via Olympic Boulevard or the Rod Laver Arena and Hisense/Melbourne Arena tram stops. You can see where these are located on the map of the precinct. 

There are ramps throughout the site, as well as lift access at the Rod Laver Arena forecourt, and all turnstiles have an accessible entry option for those who may need it. 

FM Transmitters work across the seating bowl of Rod Laver Arena and can be collected from the information desk each day. Patrons need to provide their own headphones.

ACCESSIBLE TICKETS/SEATING 

Wheelchair bays and accessible seating must be pre-booked through the Melbourne Park Accessible Seating service:

• Reach them by phone on 03 9286 1208; 
• Submit a request to be contacted online by clicking this link. The Melbourne Park Accessible Seating team will contact you to finalise the transaction. 

If there’s still availability, you can also get your tickets on the day from the accessible ticket window at Rod Laver Arena Forecourt Box Office. 

If you have booked standard seating, but have an accessibility requirement, please let us know as soon as possible by calling the Melbourne Park Accessible Seating service. If you arrive at an event with an accessibility requirement which was not accounted for at time of booking, our team will do what they can to re-locate you to an appropriate area, however this may not always be possible.

Please note: all aisles in Rod Laver Arena are fitted with handrails to assist you in accessing your seat.

PARKING  

Accessible parking is booked through Ticketek on their Accessible Seating Hotline: (03) 9286 1208. We’d recommend booking parking in advance to avoid disappointment. 

DROP OFF AREAS 

Reduced mobility guests can be dropped off in the Northern carpark via entrance D (Olympic Boulevard). All visitors have 20 minutes to drop off guests to the arena, after which time you may be charged. 

There’s also a designated drop off zone directly in front of Melbourne Arena on Olympic Boulevard. 

LIFT ACCESS  

There’s an external lift (lift 9) which is available from the Margaret Court Arena forecourt to assist guests with reduced mobility to get from ground to concourse level. You’ll find the lift through an entrance on the left of the Margaret Court Arena Box Office.  

Lifts 2, 3 and 4 go to all levels of the arena, with additional lifts found at arena doors 8 and 7, as well as exit door 2. All of these provide access into the auditorium and the floor.  

Braille buttons are available on lifts. Arena internal lifts have customer service team members in them to welcome and assist patrons.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS 

Accessibility ramps are across the precinct and are a major part of the Melbourne Park Precinct redevelopment, including an improved ramp from Garden Square to Rod Laver Arena.

Accessibility ramps into the arena can be found at doors 1, 2 and 9. 

ACCESSIBLE TOILETS 

There are several accessible toilets are (larger, wider cubicle with a door opening outwards) available in Rod Laver Arena. You can see these where these are located on the arena map.

A Changing Places facility is located on ground level between doors 6 and 7.
