In honor of Cleveland Public Library’s 150th anniversary year, Library staff, community partners, patrons, and Cleveland residents alike are stepping up to help document Cleveland.  A diverse range of local photographers, as well as teen photographers, snapped photos throughout the city to ensure Cleveland was documented like never before.

 



The Life and Legacy of John G. White

The Special Collections Department attributes its legacy to John G. White, eminent Cleveland citizen and president of the Cleveland Public Library Board of Trustees 1884–1886 and 1913–1928. He was a vital force in shaping the research aspects of the Cleveland Public Library. Explore the life of John Griswold White and the impact he had on the Library.
