Workplace Giving

One of the easiest, most effective ways you can support Feeding America is through workplace giving. Workplace giving — which often takes form in payroll contributions — enables Feeding America to assist the 37 million people who struggle with hunger in the U.S.

Remember: Your gift of $1 helps provide 11 meals and makes a difference in the fight to end hunger. Many companies provide a match on your donation to increase your impact.

Options for Individual Giving From Your Paycheck

Private employers, federal, state and local governments all offer payroll deduction opportunities.

Payroll deduction is an employer-sponsored program that empowers you to support Feeding America’s mission with a tax-deductible donation given directly from your paycheck. Payroll deduction is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to support Feeding America, but there are many options available. Work with your Human Resources Department to find out if your company participates in any of the following programs to get started.

Combined Federal CampaignCombined Federal Campaign

Federal employees (civilian, military and postal workers) can donate to Feeding America through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which is a workplace giving campaign specifically targeting federal workers. To designate your contribution to Feeding America, use CFC ID # 11627.

You can donate to Feeding America when you make your CFC pledge this fall. Check with your Human Resources department for details on when to pledge. Campaigns run between Sept. 1 and Dec. 15 each year.

United Way United Way

If your workplace participates in the United Way campaign, you can designate your pledge to Feeding America through United Way’s Donor Choice Program. Simply follow the instructions on your pledge form or write in Feeding America’s contact information: Feeding America, 35 E Wacker Drive, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60601.

America’s Charities America's Charities

Feeding America is a member of America’s Charities, and if your employer participates in America’s Charities campaigns, you may designate your contribution to Feeding America.

To maximize your efforts, Feeding America suggests that you also consider a “virtual” food drive to help support your local food bank.

Dollars for Doers — A Match for Your Volunteer Hours

Dollars for Doers programs are when companies make contributions to nonprofits where employees volunteer. Your company may make a gift for the time you give volunteering with Feeding America food banks through a volunteer grants program.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match employees’, retirees’ and employees’ spouses’ donations. With a matching gift, your donation to Feeding America may be doubled or tripled in value, thereby maximizing the impact you can have. Check with your HR department to see if your contribution to Feeding America can go even further with a matching gift.

You may email or mail your matching gift form to [email protected] or mail it to Feeding America, 35 E Wacker Drive, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60601.
