A program focused on shared print archiving has been discussed by the HathiTrust membership since our earliest days.The HathiTrust Bylaws state that one of HathiTrust’s goals is "to reduce long-term capital and operating costs of storage and care of print collections through redoubled efforts to coordinate shared storage strategies among libraries.” In 2011, during our Constitutional Convention, the Membership approved a proposal to fund the development of this program.
