2019-20 CYF Registration Family Minute

The Sunday Morning Experience

Welcome, families! Here at The Riverside Church, we believe that the community of God is open to all, including our youngest ones. Our vision is to create a worshipful environment that meets the needs of all ages through music, story, art, and play. Our Sunday mornings are divided into a music hour (9:30-10:30 a.m.), which is organized by the Music Department, and the worship hour (10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.), which is crafted by our Education Department. For more information on any of our children’s programming or to volunteer with the ministry, please email Amanda Meisenheimer, Minister of Children and Families.

A Morning with Preschool Worship and Play:

Enjoy a precious experience of love and song in the Cherub Choir! The Cherub Choir is open to all children, ages 3-7 years old. This year the choir practices on the 6th floor with director Sharon Prichard at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

During the worship hour, preschoolers will continue to meet on the 6th floor with a great team of teachers. Bring your three, four, or five-year-old preschooler to the registration table on the 6th floor MLK at 10:30 a.m. Children who are in the Cherub Choir will be escorted directly to their classes by Sharon Prichard.

Please pick-up your children on the 6th floor of the MLK building promptly after the service concludes in the Nave.

*Please note: the sixth floor has an elevator code for added security. A security staff member can assist new parents to reach the 6th floor.

A Morning with Riverside Kids Worship:

Have fun and also share your vocal skills with the church! The Rising Voices choir is open to all children ages 8+. This year the Rising Voices meets on the third floor in the Chapel of the Cross at 9:30 a.m. After choir, the children will remain in the Chapel for Riverside Kids Worship.

Children who are not choir participants should arrive at the third floor for registration between 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. All children begin their day together with Amanda Meisenheimer and her team of creative teachers in a corporate worship experience in the Chapel of the Cross. This hour will be filled with music, action, art, and stories! For the final portion of the worship hour, children will join their Sunday school teachers in our newly renovated classrooms for a small group experience.

We will sing, laugh, and praise together!

Please pick-up your children on the third floor of the MLK building promptly after the service concludes in the Nave.
