The Nintendo Switch has sold 10m units in Japan

Japanese sales make up nearly one-fourth of total console sales (including the Lite)

Nintendo has announced that it has sold a total of ten million Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite consoles combined in Japan as of November 3, 2019.

This total is up almost two million from the last set of sales figures given back in May, which had the Switch passing the PS4 in total Japanese sales at 8.13 million.

It was also helped by the recent launch of the Switch Lite, which moved 160,000 units in Japan alone during its first week.

The new figure represents just under one-fourth of total lifetime Nintendo Switch sales, which now sit at 41.67 million.

The Switch has passed milestones in multiple countries recently, reaching ten million total units sold in Europe and 15 million total units in North America last month.
