Since 1906, Jewelers of America has been on the forefront of efforts to improve and protect the reputation of the industry and the integrity of the supply chain. Our primary purpose is to promote consumer confidence in the jewelry industry. To achieve this mission, Jewelers of America watches industry issues closely and creates guidance materials for its members to help them uphold the highest social, environmental and ethical business practices. 

Jewelers of America works on behalf of its retail and supplier members behind the scenes with other industry organizations, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to assess risk and maintain consumer confidence. Members have access to Jewelers of America’s expert guidance on Responsible Sourcing, Disclosure, and Regulations – with information that can’t be found anywhere else. 

As a leading advocate for the jewelry industry, when issues arise that are of concern to consumers, Jewelers of America is often one of the first to respond. Our position statements communicate the association's, and our members', efforts to uphold the highest responsible business practices.
